Use of BASF Ultracur3D RG 1100 B resin

BASF resins are photosensitive resins developed for 3D printers using DLP/LCD, MSLA resins.

The RG series is the most rigid and hardest resin range, suitable for the most demanding applications requiring high rigidity without deformation.

RG resins have the highest flexural modulus in our Ultracur3D range and the highest thermal stability. They are specifically developed to offer first-class tensile strength and stiffness, as well as high print accuracy with low shrinkage. Prints made with RG resin have low water absorption and are easy to polish, speeding up design iterations and reducing your development costs.

BASF RG 1100B resin: key strengths

High rigidity: BASF RG 1100 B is the most rigid resin, offering an excellent compromise between strength and rigidity. It has a flexural modulus of 2790 mPa and a strength of 125 mPA. This RG110B photo reactive resin also offers excellent stability thanks to its low shrinkage rate. It offers unique performance for all kinds of prototyping applications and functional parts for your most technical applications.

Temperature resistance: Ultracur3D RG1100B urethane resins are the most temperature resistant. It has a deflection temperature under load (0.45 mPa) of up to 100°C.

Water resistance (cleaning): As RG1100B resins are not very sensitive to water(0.42% absorption in 24 hours), they can be used for applications in damp environments without losing performance or dimensional accuracy. The other advantage of this low sensitivity to water is that you can use water to clean your parts.

Our recommendations for use with RG 1100 B resin

Ultracur3D resins are photoreactive and therefore very sensitive to light. They must be protected from UV rays as soon as they are opened. Keep them away from light. It is also advisable to wear gloves when handling the resin.

Shake your bottle of resin before use and leave it to stand for a few minutes after filling your printing tank. This is the time it takes for the air bubbles to disappear. After cleaning with alcohol using the Cleaner BASF and drying for a few moments, don't forget to finish the post-treatment process by passing through a UV chamber to obtain the performance you're looking for (around 20 minutes depending on size and thickness).
