Using PolyDissolve S1

PolyDissolve S1 is a PVA water-soluble filament designed by Polymaker. Its compatibility with PLA, TPU and Nylon means that the support parts of parts with complex geometries can be printed using the second extruder (double extrusion).

Our recommendations for using PolyDissolve S1

PolyDissolve S1 soluble filament can be printed over an extrusion temperature range of between 215 and 225°C and a platen temperature of between 25 and 60°C at a speed of 30 to 40mm/s. It is recommended to use a BuildTak backing or glue or tape to promote adhesion to the platen.

As this material is very sensitive to humidity, we strongly recommend using the PolyBox from Polymaker when 3D printing, and always storing the reel in its resealable packaging when not in use. For best results, we suggest drying the material at 80°C for 12 hours.
