A flagship material for 3D printing, the PLA Forshape is ideal for the production of prototyping parts, shape validation and parts for decorative or aesthetic use.
Made in Europe to ROHS and REACH standards, this PLA Red filament offers excellent value for money.
Extremely easy to use, as illustrated below, this slightly modifiedPLA is both stiffer and more resistant to fatigue than some other PLA filaments. Its chemical properties make it less brittle.
This spool has a cardboard reel that is easy to fold and also easy to recycle. If you're looking for an economical or environmentally friendly PLA filament from Europe, or both, PLA Forshape is undoubtedly your first choice.
PLA is generally used for prototyping, whether for architectural mock-ups, shape validation for manufacturers or more personal design.
With a few improvements, particularly in terms of slicer settings, this material can even meet certain needs for certain functional prototypes.
What we like about PLA (starch base) is that it is biodegradable and odourless.
Excellent value for money: this filament offers very high quality at over €15 per kilo.
Eco-responsibility: the manufacturer Forshape is committed to an eco-responsible approach by limiting or even excluding plastic winders from its entire range.
Online manual: all the documentation is online (manual, printing profile, etc.) to reduce the need for paper.
Wide choice of colours: PLA Forshape is available in around fifteen colours.
PLA Red Forshape is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, in both 1.75 and 2.85mm.
We recommend that you set your printer to an extrusion temperature of between 190 and 230°C to print PLA Forshape Red in optimum conditions. A print speed of between 30 and 40mm/s and the use of a heating plate at between 25 and 60°C are also recommended.
A number of print profiles (Raise3D, Creality and Ultimaker) are available on the manufacturer's website and as downloads to give you the right settings so you can print your 3D models easily.
The downloadable user guide will give you all the information you need to get started easily.
