Using PolyLite PETG Transparent

PolyLite ™ PETG Transparent is designed with the best raw materials to achieve advanced mechanical properties and very high quality. Its slight flexibility as well as its translucency make this PETG ideal for making functional transparent parts and 3d prints that are slightly more heat resistant (81°) than a PLA.

PolyLite PETG Transparent is also used for parts subject to vibration and templates.

Easier and quicker to sand than PLA, it is ideal for obtaining design or prototype parts with a smooth surface. This is useful for obtaining high quality visual prototypes with different colours.

PETG is one of the most widely used materials in 3D printing because of its good balance between ease of use and mechanical properties.

PolyLite PETG Transparent: highlights

Optical transparency: PETG PolyLite Transparent has a natural transparency that allows light to pass through.

Durability and resistance: PolyLite PETG Transparent is used for semi-functional applications where a durability slightly superior to what a PLA could offer is required. It is also resistant to 81° heat.

Simplified post-treatment: Post-treatment of PolyLite PETG ensures ideal rendering and a smooth finish. Faster and easier to sand than PLA.

Our recommendations for use with PolyLite PETG Transparent

PolyLite PETG Transparent from Polymaker is a 3D filament that can be printed on all 3D printers equipped with a heated platen and extruding filament 1.75mm or 2.85mm.

3D printing of this PETG PolyLite Transparent is easy with an extrusion temperature of between 230 and 240°C, a platen temperature of between 70 and 80°C and a print speed of between 30 and 50mm/s.

In order to obtain optimum platen adhesion, the use of a brim, a Builtak platen or glue of the Magigoo is strongly recommended.

The PETG Transparent filament is compatible with all open 3D printers equipped with a heated platen (e.g. Raise3D Pro2 or Creality) and accepting 1.75mm filament or 2.85mm.
