The PA6-GF from Bambu Lab, also known as glass fiber-reinforced Nylon 6, is a high-performance technical filament ideal for demanding applications.
Its exceptional robustness and durability make it suitable for the manufacturing of functional parts subjected to high mechanical stress, such as industrial components, automotive parts, structural components, and architectural models.
Moreover, its resistance to heat and chemicals makes it a preferred choice for harsh environments that require reliable and durable materials.
High thermal resistance: With a high heat deflection temperature (182°C), PA6-GF maintains its mechanical properties even at high temperatures, making it ideal for demanding industrial and automotive applications.
Excellent dimensional stability: The glass fiber reinforcement gives the filament outstanding dimensional stability, allowing printed parts to retain their shape and dimensions even under heavy loads.
Chemical resistance: PA6-GF offers excellent resistance to chemicals, oils, and various solvents, ensuring long-term reliable performance even in harsh environments.
Durability and toughness: Thanks to its reinforced composition, this filament provides increased wear and impact resistance, ensuring the longevity of printed parts even under intensive use conditions.
For optimal use of PA6-GF from Bambu Lab, it is recommended to set the extrusion temperature between 260 and 290°C and the bed temperature between 80 and 100°C. Additionally, it is advisable to use a wear-resistant nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4 mm due to the abrasive nature of the filament.
Pre-drying the filament before printing is recommended by placing it in a convection oven at 80°C for at least 8 hours to prevent moisture-related issues.
Finally, since PA6-GF may be prone to warping, ensuring good bed adhesion by using appropriate printing surfaces or specific adhesives is crucial to minimize this risk.
