Formbox - Simple, efficient thermoforming

The FormBox is an innovative thermoforming tool that lets you create parts and moulds from a given object. It works by using sheets of plastic heated by a built-in heating block, combined with a vacuum system activated by a simple household hoover.

To use the FormBox, simply place an object, whether 3D printed or not, on its tray, then activate the thermoforming system to obtain a mould corresponding to the desired part. The system works on the principle of vacuum forming.

Combined with 3D technology, the FormBox offers the possibility of rapidly producing moulds from 3D prints, enabling parts to be reproduced using a variety of materials. This combination significantly reduces manufacturing times and enables multiple parts to be produced from precise moulds.

Using the right materials, the FormBox can also be used to manufacture finished parts for packaging or prototyping.

Creating moulds and objects with the FormBox

Mayku Clear sheets have a soft, non-stick surface, ideal for creating reusable food-compatible moulds. They are 0.5 mm thick.

Mayku Form sheets are also 0.5 mm thick and are designed for the manufacture of finished parts for prototyping, packaging and product design.

In addition to Mayku sheets, the FormBox can use other thermoplastic materials such asABS, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polypropylene, PVC and PMMA.
