Polymaker Polylite PLA-CF

PolyLite™ PLA-CF 3D filament is a high quality carbon fibre reinforced PLA designed for functional applications and a smooth matte surface finish.

It is composed of 8% fibre reinforcing your PLA. Built from the ground up to print rigid models with a high quality matt surface finish. PolyLite PLA-CF combines rigidity and excellent dimensional stability with a smooth matte surface finish that hides the layers.

Highlights of PLA-CF Polymaker

Matt surface finish: PolyLite™ PLA-CF contains 8% carbon fibre making the surface look and finish matt and smooth. PLA-CF is the ideal choice for applications that require an easy to print, cost effective filament with a smooth looking carbon fibre surface finish that hides layers well.

Mechanical properties: PolyLite PLA-CF offers a balance of high stiffness, good strength and improved toughness for projects requiring a balance between aesthetics and functionality. The base material for the PLA-CF is Polymakers' eco-friendly Matte PLA (PolyTerra™ PLA) formula, which exhibits lower stiffness and strength but better impact resistance (X-Y) than regular PLA.

Easy to print: A high-quality PLA with carbon fibre, PLA-CF features excellent dimensional accuracy and is manufactured with Polymakers Jam-Free™ technology that leads to excellent print quality. PolyLite™ PLA-CF works well on most printing surfaces with a bed at 25°C - 60°C and a thin layer of stick adhesive applied.

Our recommendations for use with PolyLite PLA-CF

Printing PolyLite PLA-CF is very simple. Here are our recommendations: extrusion temperature of 190 to 220°C and a speed of between30 and 70mm/s.

The use of a bonnet and/or heated platen is recommended but not necessary. PLA -CF PolyLite is not subject to warping or peeling and prints on most printing surfaces (glass, tape, BuildTak).

Polymaker PolyLite PLA-CF is compatible with 3D printers extruding 1.75 or 2.85mm diameter filament. We also recommend using a steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.5mm.
