The ABS Orange filament from the PolyLite series developed by Polymaker is a high-quality ABS filament with a minimal content of fine particles (VOCs) to limit potential harm.
Ideal for prototypes or functional parts, this ABS has a glass transition temperature of 100°C, meaning it can be used in environments where heat resistance is required.
Easy to handle when following recommendations (enclosed chamber, adhesive for bed adhesion...), it delivers precise and reliable prints thanks to Polymaker's 8-step quality control process.
This ABS Orange is ideal for producing parts that require good mechanical strength and for functional prototyping.
Reduced toxicity: The PolyLite ABS Orange 1kg filament emits fewer odours and VOCs than standard ABS.
Low price: This ABS filament offers excellent value for money considering the technology used.
Excellent print quality: This Polymaker 3D ABS provides excellent mechanical properties, especially in terms of strength. It ranks among the most impact-resistant materials after PolyMax PC and PolyMide CoPA.
PolyLite ABS Orange is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, in both 1.75 and 2.85mm formats.
3D printing with PolyLite ABS Orange requires an extrusion temperature between 245 and 265°C, a heated bed between 90 and 105°C, and a print speed of 30 to 50mm/s.
We highly recommend using a closed and filtered enclosure and a professional 3D printer to achieve warp-free prints while ensuring a certain level of safety.
To achieve smooth surface finishes, there are two options: manual sanding of the 3D part, or using acetone, which chemically reacts with ABS. Since acetone can be hazardous, an alternative method is to use PolySmooth with IPA.
This latter method is our recommended option if you need functional prototypes with a smooth surface finish.
