The ABS Red filament from the PolyLite series developed by the manufacturer Polymaker is a high quality ABS filament containing very low levels of fine particles (VOCs) in order to limit the risk of harmful effects.
Ideal for prototypes or functional parts, this ABS has a glass temperature of 100°C, which means it can be used in environments where heat resistance is required.
Easy to use, taking into account the recommendations (closed enclosure, glue for adhesion to the tray, etc.), it produces accurate, reliable prints thanks to the 8-step quality control of Polymaker.
ABS Red is ideal for the production of parts requiring good mechanical resistance and for functional prototypes.
Lower toxicity: The ABS Red PolyLite 1kg filament is a material that gives off less odour and fewer VOCs than standard ABS.
Low price: This ABS filament offers excellent value for money given the technology used.
Excellent print quality: This ABS from Polymaker 3D offers excellent mechanical properties, particularly in terms of strength. It is one of the most impact-resistant materials behind PolyMax PC and PolyMide Copa.
PolyLite ABS Red is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market in both 1.75 and 2.85mm.
. 3D printing of PolyLite ABS Red requires an extrusion temperature of between 245 and 265°C, a platen heated to between 90 and 105°C and a print speed of between 30 and 50mm/s.
We strongly recommend the use of a closed, filtering enclosure and a professional 3d printer to obtain parts without deformation while guaranteeing a certain level of safety.
To obtain parts with a smooth surface, there are two possibilities. Either manual sanding of the 3D part or the use of acetone, which chemically acts onABS. Since handling acetone can be dangerous, another alternative method is to use PolySmooth with IPA.
This last method is the one we recommend if you need to obtain functional prototypes with a smooth surface.
