Purchase 3D printers Resins

3D printers resins are very common in the world of 3D printing. The democratization of this additive manufacturing process has accelerated in recent years with the emergence of very affordable and reliable desktop 3D printers. The arrival of SLA and LCD on the market has significantly lowered the prices of laser 3D printers.

There are several resin-based technologies, including the SLA (stereolithography) which uses a laser to harden a thermosetting polymer resin (resin) on a manufacturing platform immersed in a vat.

The DLP (Digital Light Processing) uses a similar process, but instead of a laser, it uses a projector to photopolymerize the resin.

Finally, the LCD also uses the same methodology but includes an LED screen to flash the resin layer by layer.

The use of an additive manufacturing process based on resin is mainly distinguished by its finishing quality. Indeed, this technology allows for printed parts with a very smooth surface finish and a very high level of precision.

Resin 3D printers are "inverted" compared to FDM 3D printers. In fact, the build plate touches a vat filled with resin. As it moves up, the resin is "flashed" by a laser, for example, to solidify it at the plate level.

There are two types of printers: SLA printers and LCD/DLP printers. The main difference between these two technologies lies in the solution used to solidify the resin. One uses a laser and the other an LCD screen.

Why buy a resin 3D printer?

Resin printers are perfect for creating finished parts with an impeccable surface finish. They are mainly used in the field of dental, jewelry, and also engineering for very specific applications (temperature resistance, for example).

The speed of 3D printing is also one of the advantages of using resin 3D printers compared to other technologies.

Precautions related to resin printers?

The resin used by this type of printer is sold in a liquid state and must be handled with caution while wearing appropriate protective gear (such as gloves and goggles). Additionally, we recommend machines that offer air filtration systems.
