PETG Carbon - Industrial technical filament

This carbon-fibre filled filament is widely used for its high technical performance and will meet the needs of demanding applications. It is known as PETG-CF which stands for "Carbon Fiber".

Thanks to its composition, PETG Carbon is twice as rigid as standard PETG. Its fibre content makes it easy to print, as the fibres limit the warping effect during printing and therefore the risk of the board coming unstuck. You'll get parts with excellent dimensional accuracy and a matt, rough finish.

This composite filament gives you very high rigidity, making it ideal for technical mechanical parts.

Why use PETG-CF Carbon?

With its 15% fibre content, Forshape 's PETG Carbon filament is the ideal material for designing technical parts and finished products. It can be found in the design of drone chassis, in the automotive and aerospace industries and more generally in fields and sectors where strength and light weight are important factors.

In the medical sector, for example, it will be used to design customised parts. The manufacture of prostheses or adapters for wheelchairs is a common application for PETG-CF (Carbon).

Strengths of carbon filament Forshape?

Shock and impact resistance: The 15% carbon fibre added to this filament doubles the rigidity of PETG and gives it enormous impact resistance.

Rough, matt appearance : The filler in this material gives it a very attractive surface once printed. This finish is often highly prized in industry.

Ease of printing: PETG Carbon adheres very well to the platen, and its composition limits the warping effects of PETG. What's more, this material doesn't warp, so you get parts with excellent dimensional accuracy.

Eco-responsible: PETG-CF Forshape is sold wound on a cardboard spool that you can simply recycle after using the filament.

Printing tips

PETG Forshape Carbone is a filament compatible with all 3D printers equipped with a 1.75mm extrusion and compatible with the recommendations for use below.

This filament requires an extrusion temperature of between 230 and 255°C. A heating plate that will enable you to obtain a constant plate temperature of between 70 and 90°C.

PETG Carbon is an abrasive filament, so we recommend using a reinforced nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.5mm.
