The eco-friendly PLA PolyTerra Gradient Spring (Spring) filament was developed by Polymaker using a technique called"Fully Bio Compound (FBC)" which translates to a blend of PLA (a biodegradable polymer made from corn, beet and wheat starch) and organic minerals.
If you're looking for a cost-effective or eco-friendlyPLA filament, or both, the PLA PolyTerra ™ ️ filament is definitely your first choice. Plus, if used as a backing material, PolyTerra ™ ️ PLA can be easily removed.
PolyTerra filament is used in everything from simple prototyping to a finished decorative or accessory part.
Excellent value for money: this filament offers very high quality at over €20 per kilo.
Stiffness: the PolyTerra PLA Gradient Spring (Spring) filament is stiffer than standard PLA filament.
Eco-responsibility: the manufacturer Polymaker has committed, via the ONETREEPLANTED association, to planting a tree for each spool of PolyTerra sold.
Recycled spool: the spool and packaging for PolyTerra Gradient Spring filament are entirely recycled to protect the environment.
Matt finish: give your prints a unique look with the matt finish of PolyTerra Gradient Spring (Printemps).
Food contact compliant: Polymaker PolyTerra complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU, 2015/863 and REACH.
PolyTerra Gradient Spring is compatible with all open 3D machines on the market, whether in 1.75 or 1.75 mm 2.85mm.
We recommend that you set your printer to an extrusion temperature of between 190 and 230°C in order to print PolyTerra Gradient Spring under optimum conditions. A print speed between 30 and 70mm/s and the use of a heating plate between 25 and 60°C are also recommended.
If your printer is equipped with a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended shrink distance is 1mm at a speed of 20mm/s. If your printer uses Bowden extrusion, the recommended shrink distance is 3mm and a speed of 40mm/s.
Finally, for food contact compliance, while PolyTerra Gradient Spring complies with the main standards, some printed parts may have cracks and holes that are invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria in general are prone to proliferate in these areas.
