Use of the Ultrafuse PAHT CF15 filament
Ultrafuse PAHT CF15 is a high-performance 3D printing filament that opens up new fields of application in FFF printing. In addition to its advanced mechanical properties, dimensional stability and chemical resistance, it has very good processability.
It works in any 3D filament printer equipped with a hardened nozzle.
In addition, Ultrafuse PAHT CF15 is compatible with BVOH, water-soluble carrier material and HIPS, making it possible to print complex geometries that work in harsh environments.
Ultrafuse PAHT CF15: key strengths
- Higher chemical resistance than most grades PA
- Resistance to high temperatures up to 150°C
- Strong, rigid parts
- High dimensional stability
- Easy to process
- Low moisture absorption
Our recommendations for use with BASF Ultrafuse PA -HT CF15
BASF Ultrafuse PA -HT CF15 filament is easy to print. Youneed a 3D printer that can extrude the filament at between 260 and 280°C at a speed of between30 and 80mm/s. The platen must be heated to between 100 and 120°C. BASF recommends using a light layer of glue to protect the platen during printing.
Magigoo PRO PA is perfectly suited to this. The other point to watch out for is the high abrasion produced by this filament on most extrusion systems. The high glass fibre content of PAHT CF15 requires the use of a reinforced nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.5 mm.
