Ultrafuse TPC 45D: High elastic properties

The main attraction of this BASF Ultrafuse TPC 45D filament is its rubber-like composition. This filament is a thermoplastic elastomer copolyester (TPE-C) which is derived from rapeseed oil and combines the best properties of elastomers and polyesters.

The Ultrafuse TPC-45D filament has very strong adhesion of the layers along the Z axis, offering extreme resistance to stretching even in the direction of the layers.

Flexible: This Ultrafuse TPC 45D filament is perfect for use with 3D parts and models that need to be extremely flexible and need to be bent often.

Impact resistance: The high elasticity of the Ultrafuse TPC 45D filament gives it mechanical properties that mean it suffers less from deformation caused by repeated impacts.

UV resistance: Ultrafuse TPC 45D is UV resistant.

Printing the Ultrafuse TPC 45D filament correctly

First of all, we advise you to print this Ultrafuse TPC 45D filament on a printer equipped with direct drive extrusion to facilitate and improve the printing of this technical and flexible filament. This filament will print perfectly with an extrusion temperature of between 220 and240°C, the plateau temperature needing only be around 20°C.

A slow print speed of between 20 and 40mm/s is recommended, as well as the use of an adhesion sheet at PP to optimise the adhesion of this material to the platen.
