Use of PC-ABS Rail de Nanovia

This material, specifically designed for use in high-tech sectors such as the railways, meets and complies with the criteria of standard NF EN 45545-2.

Based on standardised materials, it ensures safety in the event of fire by preventing the spread of smoke or flames.

PC -ABS Rail is used for functional part applications such as electrical equipment controls, handles and knobs, armrests, etc.

Nanovia PC-ABS Rail: key points

EN 45545-2:2013+A1:2015: PC -ABS Rail complies with this standard, which is essential for certain rail applications.

Non-flammable: Using standardised materials, this filament is non-flammable.

Easier to print than a PC: ThisABS filled polycarbonate is easier to print than a raw PC.

Our recommendations for use with the Nanovia PC -ABS Rail filament

The Nanovia PC -ABS Rail filament has an extrusion temperature ideally between 270 and 290°C and a print speed of 40 to 60mm/s.

A heating plate at 120°C is recommended, as well as an enclosure temperature of 90°.

As polycarbonate is sensitive to humidity, we recommend that you store your reel in a dry place with a desiccant. If it has been exposed to humidity or open air, please steam your filament at 60°C for 4 hours or more.

Finally, the use of a printer with an air extraction or filtered enclosure is highly recommended.
